Callaghan Mortuary was established in and has been privately owned since 1906 by the Reimers Family. The mortuary was located on the corner of 2nd Street and South L Street in downtown Livermore. In the mid-1940s the Reimers family sold to Leo and Frances Callaghan. In 1959, due to new growth in Livermore, the Callaghan family decided to build a new facility on East Avenue where we continue to serve our families today.
